NWA Writers Summer Fling

Lots of good food, fun, and companionship!
	Yummy!
	You can almost gain weight just looking at the desserts!
	Getting ready for the Flash Fiction contest.
	Duke Pennell won first place in the Flash Fiction contest with "Evicted." Jeannie Horn and Ned Downie took second and third place.

Many of our members attended OWFI and some of them performed very well in the contests.
	Ruth Rakestraw won First Place in Historical Novel for her work titled "The War for Florida." She also won Third Place in Western Novel for "Aubrey Roberts' Fight."
	Ann Holbrook won Third Place in Adult Short Story for her work titled "Life Everlasting."
	Jan Morrill won Fourth Honorable Mention in Prose Humor for her work titled "Glory, Lost and Found."

Whether they entered any contests or not,
as you can see by the pictures,
a good time was had by all!

We held a Free Conference on Saturday, March 14th, 2009.
